Pretty Informative website about Islam

Can I read Koran and make conclusions of it or should I pay attention to the islamic "explainers" of it? Are there some official explanation?
I found in Koran just few things, which sound pretty grim to me and I want to be sure, what to think about...

You have to learn all haditth & sunnah & u have to be well informed about the history of the revelation of Quran (meaning where the specific revelation(verse) came to Prophet Mohammad PBUH & in which regard)
without knowing these things one cannot gave his own conclusion about the revelations of Quran

If u dont have the required knowledge then u must consult the Mulla of the Mosque near your House i m sure he will be able to Explain it to u.
But if there is no Mosque near your House then
Get the Tafseer Al Quran Book (i Recommend Get it From Saudi Arabia) In English
Tafseer Means Explanation of Quran.

Okay. Now, I have proof that my beliefs are correct.

Open a high-school science textbook, turn to any page you choose, and read.

That is my proof.

Proof can mean ANYTHING, you won't change a mind by showing 'facts'.

The weird thing about my Secondary (High schools for those in the rebel colony) school GCSE science books, is that the AS level (College) science books disprove half of it. Never blindly follow a single book.

The easiest things to beleive are the things that can easily be proven. Like Newtonian Physics while iceskating

This is interesting, albeit not definite proof.

Determined is a little incorrect, as orbits can be mathematically worked out, however, since every single atom in the universe has some effect on each other (Gravity, differing charges, and lets steer clear from confusing quantum science), there is too much data to figure it out exactly, however, you can ignore objects that are too far or too small to have much of a noticeable effect. Things settle into orbits, and the things that don't either crash into the sun and burn or fly off away.

However, i'm not trying to ignite a religion versus science debate, since it wouldn't take long for someone to make the claim "Maybe god invented everything, including all science".

Anyway, trying to rationalise science and religion rather then opposing them is a much better thing to do then some christians that blame any unexpected thing on the devil and some christians that ignore and forbid their children to learn of the existence of DNA (been reading some stories of people being religious at the point of ignorance in the deep south of the USA).

The Data Given in the Quran is 1400 years old when science was not even recognized.I cannot believe Carter who is comparing his secondary Textbook which is written after 1400 years.Even that Secondary Textbook of yours cannot defy Quran but ur Textbook is a proof that Quran is right.I have only posted this link so that some people who thinks that there is no religion which posesses scientific Knowledge to change their perceptions.

In islam Miswaaq(wood of the tree) is used to Brush the Teeth.Scientist had prooved that Tooth brush is nothing when compared with miswaaq.
Hazrat Mohammad PBUH said to clean the plate which is used by a dog 7timesto make it germ free.& scientists after 1400 years discovered the same thing

He was a 'magician' and 'forseer'. He said he could see the future. He just made a bunch of claims that were really generalized (like horoscopes, only for thousands of years down the line) and got famous when [by coincidence] his 'prophecies' came true.

Let's focus on the factual aspects of the book that have been DISPROVEN. I'm sure there's more wrong than right in the book, just like all other religious texts.

Azeem this is a public computer analysis forum.... PLEASE do not start topics of this nature. Thats is my request to you. There is nothing wrong with being religious.... but its your perspective, Carter has his. If u start such topics, there are going to be replies of this nature. Here is a couple of the errors I was talking about.

How Many Angels? In Sura 3:42, there are several angels, but only one in 19:17-21

Does Allah's day equal to 1,000 human years, as said in Sura 22:47, 32:5 or 50,000 human years, in Sura 70:4?

How many gardens are there in paradise? ONE, as stated in 39:73, 41:30, 57:21, 79:41, or MANY, 18:31, 22:23, 35:33, 78:32?

According to Sura 56:7 there will be THREE distinct groups of people at the Last Judgement, but 90:18-19, 99:6-8,. mention only TWO groups.

How many days did Allah need to destroy the people of Aad? One day, in 54:19 or several days 41:16; 69:6,7.

Heavens or Earth? Which was created first? First earth and then heaven, in 2:29, heaven and after that earth 79:27-30.

The origin of calamity? Is the evil in our life from Satan [38:41], Ourselves [4:79], or Allah [4:78]?

There are many, many more. I could continue if you would like.
