I just installed a Zalman 7700-CU with Arctic Silver 5 on my Intel P4 3.0 with Hyper Threading chipset. I followed both directions exactly. My new load temps are 55-59C at startup. It runs now around 55-62C, and I have hit over 72 a few times. My temps before were a lot smaller, 42-44 at load and 44-48 at most times. I thought the AS5 and 7700 would lower is considerably.

What are normal temps for HT Intel P4 Chips?

I am using ASUS utility to see my cpu temps.

What should I do next?
