Before I go out and spend all this money, I need to know one simple thing...Do I simply hook the monitor up to one of the cards and be done with it? Or do I need a special 2-1 cable to merge the 2 monitor plug-ins together?

2 monitor plugs? I'm assuming you're looking at a videocard and seeing two different connections. You just need to use one. The other is for a secondary monitor for extended or dual desktop.

No...what I meant to say is..do you need to hook both video cards up to the same monitor or do you only need to use one of the 4(2 on each card) plugs? I know my fair share on computers...I just had never heard of SLI before the coming of PCI-E
