I don't know if anyone else has same problem or another similar thread is going on but I can't find anywhere else and I like to see if anyone has an idea.
I replaced the memory stick since one of them is bad. After I installed new one and boot up the computer and BIOS showed my memory is 256MB Ram. I thought new memory is bad or one of the memory bank is bad, so I swept the memory with different bank and boot up the computer and find out the both memories and the banks are find. I tried to tweak the bios or OS but still BIOS show 256MB.
Anyone has idea what's the problem? BTW, my BIOS doesn't have any option for detecting memory, it's automatic detection.

Also, how do I update the BIOS? Sony requires to have floppy disk, but my notebook doesn't have floppy driver and I don't want to pay couple 100's to buy it.

If any of you can give me a point, really appreciate it.
