Mike Williams May 17, 2005, 10:12am EDT Report Abuse
My PC has 2 internal hard drives installed and 2 cd drives and I have been using this with no trouble for the last couple of years. Suddenly, when I switch on the power, the fan starts spinning as usual but none of the drives operate. Normally, the fan spins and then the boot disk whirrs into action but now nothing. Any ideas?

You checked all the connectore and all that to the hard drives try switching the cables around.Or try unhooking one or the other unless they are a raid setup..Your PSU might be dieing and just not supplying enough power to run everything. You did say this PC is a few years old.Clean out the PSU it might be clogged with dust causing it to over heat

Sounds like a Power Supply issue or MB is mostl likely to be malfunctioning
