Thing is, Supreet, there are folks a-plenty that label President Bush as "unprofessional" or "stupid" or "horrible" simply because he's got a Texan Twang to his speech! How lame is that? I mean, he's got people (more like human vultures) out there, hanging on his _every_ word, just to see if he says "Social Security" in the wrong context... and if he does, they bring down fire and brimstone, calling him far worse than unprofessional. Take it a step further... we actually have polls here based on how the candidates "appeared", with little to no importance placed on _what they actually said!!!_.

By no means I am being sarcastic here, just pointing it out, that its really not a crime, or its really not being unprofessional at all., all in all its just a joke, just "laugh" and read ..that's it.

The thing that's lost in text, especially on the Internet (with its decaying grammar standards), is tone. I swear... so many flame wars start because intonnation and word emphasis gets misinterpreted by people reading at different levels. Really petty, and seems quite minor, but hey, it happens.

Heck, I'm a huge fan of British comedy (such as Eddie Izzard), and if you took out the "f**kin' 'ell!", it wouldn't be anywhere near as funny.

I went up to Whistler, BC, Canada for a snowboard session, and I shared a liftride with a guy from Alberta. I left that lift absolutely dying of laughter, because of the story he retold. Thing is, I can't re-tell that story, to any degree of the success that he did, because just about every other word was "f**kin' s**t, eh." (He had a particularly harrowing series of events on his vacation to Whistler, involving his jacked-up 4x4 pickup truck, an old lady local, a parking garage, a tow-truck, and some stale beer. Funniest thing I've ever heard.)

Now, while I think this guy's story is absolutely hilarious, and a testament to the fortitude that some of us snowboarders have to our sessions (he had this fiasco happen at 8AM, and his truck was no longer a 4x4... thus, the story... and here he was on the lift at 10AM, still ready to shred), I would be _extremely_ hesitant to allow this guy to talk to a group of parents, or potential sponsors, or a news channel crew about the snowboarding lifestyle because, while he is a funny, upbeat, passionate snowboarder, his expressions would leave the wrong impressions.

As an attention getter; quite effective. However, you have not clarified what F-word you may be using. If you meant to say "freecking" or some derivative thereof, no offense taken. If, on the other hand you meant to simply truncate and/or encrypt the F-word that is suggested, then I can see why some folks would take offense. Clearly the point can be made well enough without resorting to expletives; either explicitly or implied.

Man I dont know you at all but this is a really top notch forum. I stumbled accross it a while ago and have to say I never looked back I am not ashamed to say it but I have learned an awful lot from the forum. And have made alot of friends one in particular in the US. So to all who take the time out to post here. THANK YOU.

Getting back to the real world Sander, If someone has a real problem with a system and really does not know where to start to fix it, it can be a really hard time for them. Some ppl cannot fuction with out the "RIG". I personnally hate when there is something wrong with my computer no matter how small. And I can tell you all this ,if you can get your computer working again from this forum the majority of people will be saying out loud "THANK f**k FOR THAT" I taught my CPU was "f**kED"

This is a great forum, I would say the best on the web, it may not have the smartest people, but its the best designed forum, and it doesn't look anything like the other forums out there. I found this site back when i was looking for a way to fix a problem with my old MX420 agp video card. This site was the first one on the list on google. I like the site so much I that I joined in December of 2003, I have noticed that not to many people have been on this forum as long as me (excpet for a few), altough a lot of you have more posts than me.
