Hey people,

AMD surely is making a big mistake putting the marketing aside... Remember ALPHA processor? They've started thinking that a good product would sell itself... Bet who is cold dead by now? They average techie knows AMD by it's name, but the average consumer only knows it as 'that other computer brand'...

By the way... proving that Intel used unfair bussiness practice would hurt Intel image, but... Come on people! They were not killing children in a satanic rith... Some people may pay a good attention to those scandals, but techies and decision makers all over the world don't care a shot for it. If it's made of goo'ol cooper and run fast as hell, we will buy it - by thousands shipments...

Suing Intel for the sake of justice (and AMD itself of course...) is a good heroic standing and the right thing to do (I hope it prove to be so...), but scratching Intel's image won't make AMD's numbers any brighter nor bolder. Rather than that, it's getting Intel more attention.

And AMD better pay attention, better keep a BIG open eye over Pentium M, or it may become the next "Athlon XP".

As far as your pentium M goes whats turion? they made the whole big ferrai acer amd deal to make turion notebooks for a reason....

how can amd improve its image significantly if its always been made "that other company" because of Intel's illegal additions to the numbers? it cant afford to fight an illgality battle fighting illegalness and propaganda with illegalness and propaganda.....theyve made a huge effort to produce a superior product, to have an intact company image....now why not let people have the chance to see that to educate average joe?

Ive snapped:
An xbox360 and a 12" iBook....
And a kawasaki er-6n to mod instead
