Here's the situation. A couple years ago my brother spilled beer on his Sony Vaio PCG-GX570 laptop, go figure. I pulled it out today and opened it up to try and clean some of it out (I know it probably won't work but I need a project). I have most of it cleaned and dried, but the problem now is those little flat cables that connect the power button, audio jack, ect. have come apart. They are very delicate and I'm afraid I destroyed two of them so far. Does anyone know where I can purchase more of them? I looked around online but I'm not sure what they're called exactly so it makes it tough.

Also if anyone has any tips on cleaning two year old beer out of a laptop, let me know. =)

Ok, looking at the cable it says AWM 20798 80c 60v VW-1 BANDO -S. I typed this in google and didn't come up with anywhere I could buy it. I recall having these issues when I took apart my PS2 as well =/. Anyway, anyone know where to buy them?

First: Find the Service Repair Manual for your laptop and then figure out which is the EXACT part you need. This is very important because the cables for your laptops are unique to those modes (most of the time). You can find service manuals at:
http://www.e-servicemanuals.com and
http://www.eserviceinfo.com/

Second: Go to http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com find your computer model and then the part number you need and buy it.

Good luck! Sorry for replying years after the post but this is the first time I see it. I hope it helps some out there.
