Personally I can't see sander doing this... then again he used to support rambus (that was a joke for people who are blind so STFU about rambus in the comments).

Long story, but no, they're not a hoax, and Rambus is still used in high-bandwidth apps (PS2 anyone?) today, it just didn't work too well due to price issues in the PC. Funny thing is that a S478 Rambus motherboard can easily keep pace with a DDR2 one today.

Anyone would be if they were in the situation you are. I'm really glad that you gave us that info that you got, but I'm sure you're under alot of pressure cause of it.

NP man, I thought you were pretty stressed so thought it would lighten it up a bit, guess that was a bad idea.

At any rate ATI really seems to be taking this to heart. They have responded with numerous comments trying to discredit the results. None of the responses make sense though, how could partners NOT have a 1800xt? That is just ridiculous. How could a previous generation card that is overclocked improve that much in doom3?

I realize ATI has to do damage control but this is just asking for trouble. We geeks aren’t complete idiots; they should at least try harder.

My hat's off to you Sander for bringing some reality to the table. If you hurt their business, then good. If they would get their heads out of their asses, they would have had a quality card months ago that REALLY LIVED UP to the hype. It's about time that REAL results were "leaked". From the scores shown, it looks like their new card is going to be a joke... That's bad news for ATI. Besides, if the results were taken from a third party, it's not official anyway. They are just trying to make you look bad in front of all of the companies because they are p**sed off about their sucky scores. They shouldn't try to lash out at you just because you give them bad publicity. If they would pull their heads out, they wouldn't have that problem. Don't worry about it. You don't need a company that can't even coordinate their business.

the publisher cant even garrantee the accurateness of the results : why did he even publish them in the first place ?

ATI PR claims AIBs dont even have R520XTs in house.

you guys are just laughable...

Why are you posting that e-mail in all of the threads? Don't you respect anyone's right to privacy? If that e-mail was meant for the entire world, don't you think there would be more than one person's name in the To: box? Wait, I get it. Big bad ATI needed your help dealing with this problem. It's a good thing that they can depend on you to fight for them. Now THAT is what is laughable. I have an ATI x850, but that in no way means that I am dedicated to being their lap dog. You should stop sucking up.
