I have a problem with NFS: MW:
When I try to play it, it gives me an error that reads:

speed.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because D3DX9_26.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I have tried patching the game, re-installing it, and restoring my Windows XP to an earlier restore point, with no success thus far. Any ideas?

My system specs are as follows:

Asus A8V Deluxe
Sapphire Radeon 9600XT, 256MB DDR
2x 512MB DDR Corsair Value Select
2x 80GB Hitachi HDD in RAID 0
Thermaltake Silent Purepower Xaser Edition 480W
LITE-ON CD/DVD Combo

ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ CPU
MSI NX7800GTX GPU
2x 512MB DDR Corsair Value Select RAM
2x 80GB Hitachi HDD's in SATA RAID 0
Thermaltake Xaser Purepower 480W
LITE-ON CD/DVD Combo
Silentmaxx ST-11 Pro

Try downloading a no cd executable for NFS:MW. Yahoo it.
