Because ive used allot of their fans, fan controllers and other mods....and they honeslty are tacky. I cant see them making a magical turnaround and putting out a good PSU.

Im talking from personal experience, not reviews.

David.

Yeah, Sniper, I concur with David... (sorry I didn't get to your post... I was busy all day yesterday snowboard patrolling)

Sunbeam is a peripheral company at best, making aftermarket wares and objects for electronics. You'll mostly see things like CCFL lights, bay devices, etc. Those items are _decent_, but then again, they're not heavily tasked or overworked. A power supply is.

Also worth mentioning is that their products often appear under different manufacturer's names... such as one of their 40-in-1 front panel controllers showing up with an AeroCool brand name on it. Now, I don't know who's supplying who, but it hints that there's an independent manufacturer out there making the actual object, and Sunbeam, and AeroCool are buying up quantities and producing it, by putting their name on it, and putting it into one of their boxes. Chances are good that Sunbeam is putting their name on a power supply that is manufactured by someone else (an independent) and is going off of "contractual trust"... they probably aren't opening the units up, testing them for quality, etc.

I'd _much_ rather trust a power supply that is made by a reputable company who actually does the manufacturing, producing, and marketing of said power supply.

POST EDIT: Added/subtracted a few lines. Goldang, I'm tired.
