Okay guys, now I can't decide between a PCI EXPRESS 6600GT with 128 GDDR3 or the new Xtasy X1300 with 512 of DDR-2. They are both VERY similar in price, both around 200 bucks. Which one would you go with?

6600GT,
the X1300 is like buying a 9700Pro I would think, its not as good as a x800 cause I know from the tech specs.

If you are a gamer, that the 6600GT hands down, but if you are into multi-media, than the X1300 XT kicks ass big time.

I would also suggest 6600GT, but X1300 is fairly close to it.

In my opinion, the 6600GT is beginning to show its age. I recommend you look at some other cards or wait until you have a bit more cash.

The 6600gt takes that card to school.

I agree with adam, save up and buy a more powerful card thats future friendly.

Neither, I vote the 6800GS

It's only a little more expensive that the 6600GT and performs much better

Seconded - there are several 6800GS cards out at or just under US$200 these days.

X1300 is not really a gaming card. 6600GT is old but faster in games.

6800GS is around $190 USD
7800GT is around $299 USD
both good deals

6600GT is good for a budget gaming card tho even today, it can still play every game just not at killer settings like it use to.

I'm hooked on refurbished cards now. I've bought 3 and haven't had any problems with them. If you got $200 to spend get an X850Pro. I only paid $130 for the eVGA 6600GT HDTV I'm currently running. I'll never buy list price again. JMO

If you want nVidia and can pop for $220 go with the 6800GT

Hey guys ! So i see the majority is at an accord. The nvidia 6600 GT is better for gaming then the x1300. I use my pc for gaming and i also have both these cards at my disposal. the GeForce 6600GT Verto (ddr 3, 128 mb, agp) and the ati radeon x1300 (pci-express, 256, ddr 2 ). i ve been performing tests ..running a game with both the cards to see wich gives me a better feel . Still undecided. Both have elements that are better than the other ...just dont know :P heelp

In late 2012? I'd get *any* 8 series Nvidia card or above, or a 4850 or above if you like teh Radeons.

If it's a matter of which one is better between the two that you have, the 6600GT should be better for most games. But those cards are oooooooold.
