I've been getting those floater ads on here a few times now. The last one I just saw was for Circuit City. It came floating across the screen and settled in on the banner above the logo strip. My browser has a floater killer, but I still find them immensely annoying and detracting to the sites quality, and appeal. You know it's one thing to block ads that sit there and annoy you with running cockroaches. But it's an entirely different thing when the ad interferes with the sites operation, by forcing you to deal with removing it so you can access the sites navigation buttons/links.

When it comes to accepting advertising funds....... HWA is no different from other websites. They get weak in the knees when $$$ are flashed in front of them for in your face viewing times. So in the end..... we have no say so other than not coming to this site anymore. And yes... I have notice a increase of advertisements.

That is rather strange, I've never had any problems with popups here at hwa, But it could be because I keep all activex controls and plug-ins off. Or those popups could be due to some adware maybe?

Edit: I use IE6.0 by the way.
