ROFL!!! Sorry dude, I couldn't help it. You are right though. We take scroll wheels for granted.

Dude... it's rough... normally I click on my HWA link and then just scrroooolll right down to all the beautiful posts... or I'll grab Winamp and crank up the volume... and now that's all gone... forever...

...(or at least until I buy a new mouse).

I've never seen the O.C. I really want to, just because I call myself an open-minded individual, and because frankly I want to see just how badly Battlestar Galactica wipes the wall with this show and "Desperate Housewives."

*cough*

....aaaaaanyways.... about that scroll button... man I'm happy I've fallen in love with low-priced input devices.

This tragic news just makes me want to crawl inside a hole and watch Star Trek for the rest of my life.

Thanks McFly, now I know what it's like when doves cry. LOL

I am on my third optical mouse. The last two I broke from gaming abuse. Me thinks these mice are crap :)

LBot's eulogy: McFly's scroll wheel was a good wheel. it did not judge or complain about the sites McFly frequently visited. The scroll wheel is a gentle soul and did what it suppose to do...turn one way or the other. And at the end, it died with dignity. We all can learn from this and remember we too have scroll wheels and one day they will be gone so pay close attention to your scroll wheel.

i had a ms optical wheel mouse die on me, it started to mes up, turn it self off for no reason, so i pulled it's USB cable out, whacked it on the case... I had to replace it with a two button ball mouse... it was hard, having to press numbers to select weapons... then i realised voice recognition was the answer and just said the number to the computer. My mouse had a nice burial, may it rest in peace.

Damn i feel for you Mcfly,
is there anything we can do for you???

i know this is not gonna replace the love that u had with your scroll mouse, and its not my intention,
and i know its a bigg step for you, but if you want u can have my spare mouse.
if u are not ready for that yet i'll understand, but u got to keep in mind that life goes on...

LOL @ McFly

You know, maybe the O.C. didnt kill her off per say, maybe she had to quit for one reason or another.

DIablo 2 = Mouse killer.

Dying around 30 times when trying to kill Diablo in Nightmare mode and losing exp = Mouse splatter against the wall.

:)

God bless CompUSA for their cheap mouses.

So... I got this lil' beauty to hold me over until I get a new mouse:
http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/2779/mouse6zl.jpg

A fine PS/2 ball mouse. :| But just the fact that it has a scroll wheel makes it superior to my busted mouse. The old mouse only cost me like $5, basic optical USB mouse. When I get a little bit of money, I'll buy another nice wireless one like I used to have... so long ago...
