Hey guys,

I bought an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe about a year ago hoping to put together an awesome gaming desktop. I never got around to buying anything more than a 500W power supply and a ThermalTake case...

Now that college is coming up, circumstances have changed, and I just want to put together a decent computer to get me started in college.

What do you suggest? I'm looking to spend only about 700 more dollars max.
Since my dad works for AMD I think I can get a 939 processor for free, but I need suggestions on
-harddrive
-dvd drive
-ram
-video card
(monitor)
(mouse/keyboard)

I'd recommend at least two hard drives. If this is your only PC, more hard drives will be better. Get the cheapest big drives you can get. You should at least have two, in case one fails.
