Recently had to reinstall my xp os,when i went to install my drivers for my hp psc 2210 all in one, device, the installation would freeze halfway through, and now i cant uninstall the drivers, they keep rolling back, with an error message,A NETWORK ERROR OCCURED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO READ FROM THE FILE C\windows\installer\aiodrv.msi.I presume the installer is missing or damaged?

Stron,

Hey try this HP utility to uninstall the psc 2210 software -

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software3/COL3456/oj-11696-6/HpAi..._v2038.exe

Also .... you might want to get the latest drivers and other software from HP than use the ones that came with your unit.

psc 2210 -

psc 2210v -

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?lc=en&cc=u...amp;os=228

psc 2210xi -

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?lc=en&cc=u...amp;os=228

all versions above are windows XP.

also... in each of the versions.... there is a firmware update for the device.

Hope this works out for you.

You can boot your computer into safe mode by tapping F8 repeatidly while booting the computer up. You should eventually arrive to a page that says Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking, Last Known Good Configuration, etc. Choose Safe Mode. Once you get to the desktop, try uninstalling those drivers again.

Crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well..... guess the only way to rid of it is to do a format and reload of OS.... then download the latest software packet and try it. But that would be a royal pain.

You can try doing a search in the registry and delete that whole key. Making a backup first of course.

I was having a similar problem with my kids 1210 PSC. I had to reset the printer. Uninstall the software. Then shut down the computer. Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer, then plug it back in. Do that 3 times. That resets the programming in the printer itself. Then try reinstalling the software. Hopefully this is getting posted too late and you already resolved the problem. If that's the case, it would be nice if you would post the solution that worked, so anyone reading this, having a similar problem, can have an idea of what to try, that worked for you.

Oh ya. After you install the software, make sure you delete the hp folder in program files before reinstalling.

Oh! Ok. I was having a similar problem with my new hp just the other day. It appears that you must uninstall them in a particular order. I ended up doing this. I deleted the HP and the Hewlett Packer folders in program files. I didn't bother to try and uninstall them anymore. It just wasn't working. You may have to go into safe mode to delete them. Then I went into the registry and deleted

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hewlett-Packard]
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Hewlett-Packard]

I don't know if the psc software will have more than that. There is probably a few hundred more entries that start as
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\HP

I just left those orphaned. Once that is done you can probably run that clean up utility to clear those. That's if you feel comfortable mucking about in the registry.

Edit: Forget all that. Go here: http://snipurl.com/uuoc See error 1316
