I bought a new PC in November 2002 and added the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum 6.1 PCI Sound Card and had nothing but problems.

My PC reboots when you open and/or close some of the Audigy Applications. It is especially so with the DVD Audio software, or when you make changes to the speaker setup (5.1, 4.1). I logged a case with customer support, but they have no idée of how to resolve this issue. Just the normal stuff of moving the card to a new slot, uninstall, reinstall etc. Every time you close the application and it do not reboot, it will come back with a Windows XP error. When using the card with any other software it works great, but there own software sucks big time.

I think this card is a rip-off. I will never buy one of there products again.
