I tell ya what..... a 1994 Pontiac Trans Am was one of my two choices back in '94... it was that and a 94' Miata...... Dang..... what two totally different worlds... I grew up in a Mopar family. That 94' Pontiac Trans AM was going to be red with tan leather interior..... But what made me pick my '94 Miata (red with tan leather interior) was TOTALLY on the basis of insurance cost... LOL !!!! The TA was double the cost over the Miata.... Actually it surprised me because I had thought the reverse because the Miata being smaller and it was totally made overseas. But the insurance agent gave me a quick 101 on why the TA was more expensive.. LOL Now you guys have seen my Miata and how well I have kept it looking up to this day.... It is a great little car.. The TA would have been nice too.
Hey GT..... I can do 0-60 in 2 secs today...... but it will be on my GSXR-750 Suzuki
Blah, throw a ton on the back and then see how it'll do. Also, I said under 2 seconds (1.9 sec official). That's without NOS, turbo chargers, superchargers, etc., just pure pony power (and torque). Even a Bugatti Veyron can't pull those numbers. XD

I can do it in 2 secs on my Suzuki GSXR-750 because it is all about power to weight ratio... yes... in your case you'll need alot more ponies to overcome that extra mass... yes i know... in my case.... no force induction, no nitro, no extra gimmicks.... just pure 750cc mounted in a very light weight (at least for its time) 420lbs gross mass..... pushing out 101HP at the rear wheels (hitting the ground HP)..... plus my light ass of wet dripping weight of 115lbs. It's bad enough just to keep the front wheels on the ground....
oh by the way.... Today's production bike.... like a Suzuki GSXR-1000 '06 has about 145HP rear wheels to the ground and weighs in about 410lbs gross weight.
Actually, the BOSS has a higher power to weight ratio than your bike does--the difference is aerodynamics. A 6' wide car has a lot more air to move out of the way than a 1' wide bike.
Your bike: 0.24 bhp/lbs
BOSS: 0.29 bhp/lbs
I'd still take the car though--it roars, not whines. *insert Tim Allen grunt here*
The GSX-1000 unfortunately has my third favorite beat: the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo Competition
It could have it beat in aero dynamics though considering it is a thoroughbred racer.
Notice how the jet didn't pass the car until the car got way over--the thrust would have blown the car off the runway. Also, if the pilot wanted to get the jet off the ground fast, he could have thrown on the afterburners.
Gotta love a car with a 472cc engine (that's 7.7L for those in metric-land). A buddy of mine in high school had the '72 Sedan de Ville - the engine put out so much torque, a light rev in neutral would rock the whole car side to side. That buttery soft suspension may have had something to do with that too.
Probably my all-time favorite, though, is the Lamborghini Countach. I was utterly obsessed with them in grade school.
