Its the same as the blue Media Center Royal theme but its black. Works on all versions of Windows XP. I'm using it right now. This is unreleased theme from Microsoft.

My guess is they never officially launched it because it is too similar to Vista basic theme without the transparency. It is a tad unfinished though as the start button turns green when you click on it which doesn't match the black and grey design.

It looks pretty cool at first glance, but honestly, it's too reminicent of my 132 Atari. (oops - nothing like giving away my age!) :/

Looks nice, I really did like the Royale theme, but I'm on the Vista Transformation Pack, and I like it better. :D Not to mention that I also have Vista RC2 on my other hard drive.

I have Vista RC2 on my other partition as well, and I prefer to have my XP and my Vista have thier own look. Along with my Ubuntu which is completely different look. Loved Royal, now black royal is better.

And at least the start button ain't green until you click on it. I can't stand the green start button with the blue and silver themes.

Isn't it like identical to the Vista transformation pack? I have that installed, and to me it looks basically identical.

There are similar themes bundled with the Transformation Pack, but the one that's very reminiscent of Vista is the one with the blue orb for a start button.

I like Royal Blue a lot more. To be honest, I find the black taskbar and menu bars of Vista to be somewhat depressing. It'd be better if they offered some more vibrant themes to their operating system, because the dark look of the black really doesn't work for me.

Really? What'd you find incomplete about it?

Heh. A cat button. :D

I wish that WindowBlinds and StyleXP were just stylemaking programs. They shouldn't have to run in the background to make the styles work, you only need to have a style in the "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes" folder to be able to select it through the Appearance tab in Display Properties. They take away memory when it isn't needed.

And while I'm thinking of that, I really think it'd be nice if you could hide system tray icons of your choice. There are some programs I want running without a systray icon. :/

Noir is different then those 3rd party Vista themes/Transformation Packs, it's quite dull to be honest.. Royale Blue is far better.
