recently purchased/not delivered yet, but want to ask:
1) specific drivers I should be aware of other than official drivers from nVidia
2) fan noise level: anything that I can download to play down the noise
3) hints/suggestions to make proper/ the most use I can get.
my specs:
AMD 3800+ 2.42Ghz
1GB Corsair
WinXP SP2
SLI MSI 6600 128MB OC GT

1)Just download the drivers on nVidia's web site
2)Dont know how loud or quiet it is. If it is loud for you, download RivaTuner. In it, you can find a control on how fast the fan goes. (I think)
3)Most use you can get of what? The card? Im not fully understanding this part of the question.

Thanks for the reply.
most use: what I probably meant is, do I need to run program that Riva, Coolbits? then something about bjorn....its supposed to slow down fan during bootup so its not too loud.
thanks in advance.

A loud graphics card fan? You serious? Loundest thing on my computer are my 6 fans together. And even then, its not realy noticable. Now when i had my Tt 6800rpm 120mm Cpu fan going on max, Now that was loud. Unless your o.c.d. about fan noise, I probably wouldnt worry about it. Unless 7900gts are known for there hilacious fan noise.

install it properly. install the Nvidia official drivers. Install/make coolbits. Mess with bios crap if need and enjoy.

About my spelling, If you say anything about it im gonna hunt your nerdy english aniel retentive arrrssse down and beat the elcrapo right out of you!!!!

Just install the latest Nvidia official drivers and you should be fine. You probally won't have to overclock it yet, it's a pretty powerful card.

I'm reading that is a common practice to add a Zalman VF-900 CU VGA Cooler. Is this true? Any con about having this addition?
