  Amplitude modulation?

Thanks for an interesting article. Useful as I am looking at using the UCD modules for an active speaker project.

I'm a little puzzled by the use of AM radio as an analogy to explain class D though, as an AM modulated signal has an envelope that follows the audio whilst the result of modulation in class D is a signal that is always rail to rail. The audio varies the duty cycle of the output, not its amplitude.

This of course, has no bearing on the sound!
