I tried to find a fix for this on my computer and I noticed that this is a major problem all over the net. I made it my main concern to find a fix. I have WinXP/SP2. Had the blue screen with stop message "Driver Irql not less or equal" The message contained "Stop 0x000000D1" and on bottom it said "Ndis.sys" by the address and one time it happened instead of "Ndis.sys" it said "Rtl_____" with #'s in the blancs. Well i went to this website http://www.vladd44.com/other/irq_error.php and followed the instuctions. However instead of this,(DONT DO!!!)>>>1. Right click on the device in the list (see above) and then select properties. 2. Click the Resources tab. 3. Remove the tick from the Use automatic settings option. 4. Select a non-conflicting configuration from the pull down box. 5. Click OK"<<< I Right clicked on my Ethernet card and uninstalled drivers, restarted my system 2X and the default driver reinstalled itself on the second restart. Lemme know if this fix works for you as well.

Dick,

Resurrecting SEVEN old threads and THEN starting a new one all on the SAME topic isn't the way to go!!!

Yes But No one has come up with the solution yet... until now so people dont have to look through 7 different threads all with 3-12 pages of replys. Just making it for all to see, genius. U most have no life if you are bothered by a post that has nothing to do with you.

McFly's right. You could've just posted this, and people would've seen the title "SOLUTION," and no one would have the problem anymore. :)

Not to mention, that's only one solution to a problem that has many solutions. I had the same problem, it turned out to be bad RAM.

Dick, you know what's also not the way to go: joining HWA and insulting one of the most respectable members. So you better watch your mouth.

For one, you do not need to dig up multiple threads and copy/paste the same thing. Just making this thread would have been enough.

Second, you do not need to insult other forum members. We do not tolerate that here and it can constitue for a ban. That is a warning.

Third, if you want to be treated with respect, treat others with the same respect that you would want to be treated with.

Fourth, there are multiple solutions to IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL, some cases its a matter of a driver, others can be bad ram.

Bad ram, bad CPU, bad HDD, unstable overclock on ram / cpu / vid card, bad driver set, device conflicts..... can all cause the IRQL error. Even a dodgy power suplly leading to an unstable system can cause this.
