Ok, so I inherited a dying laptop, but it is a very nice little machine and I am trying to resurrect the little sucker with my dark magics. <g> Unfortunately the battery (which is new very recently) is no longer charging, and hence the laptop only works when plugged in to the ac power cord. The difficult part is pretty much done, the latop is sitting disassembled into its component pieces in a small heap. I hear from the person who gave it to me that this power problem happened once before and they had it repaired by tech somewhere.
I'm looking for help in any form to give me a hint as to what I should try to do with it. It is obviously something to do with the internal power system, the battery is good so I am assuming it is the recharging unit (?) I am good with a soldering iron and multimeter probes and more than willing to give replacing parts a go. Pictures of the Mb are available if needed.
Any advice is welcome.
