That case is too cool. The innards look about the same as those of my Ultra Aluminus which I've found to be a very nice case. (Funny, but you find a lot of posters on various forums poo-pooing Ultra, but when you read unbiased reviews, they rate rather high.)

Hope it works out for you!

Looks kind of average to me, although it is pretty clean. If one wants to buy it for status or design, that's cool...but for weight savings?

I'd like to know the percentage of total weight savings for the ENTIRE CONFIGURED COMPUTER since the frame is still aluminum and only panels are CF.

I'd estimate the % weight savings at less than 2%. That's not going to make any difference for "...lugging around to LAN parties..."

Given the environmental mess that SOME composites have, are there any special safety and health precautions that must be taken while modifying this particular case? Any warnings from the manufacturer on this topic?

Seems to me that the Aluminus weighs about 5 lbs, so no, there probably won't be any substantial weight savings; most of the weight will still be from the PSU.

Looks decent, I would take off the Ultra fan grill on the side and replace it with a old school wire fan grill, but thats me. The carbon fiber doesn't look to cheesy which is good.

I like the Window'ed version of the case, and it looks roomy too. I would buy it, if the price was right. But for now, Aluminum is the best for a case.
