ATI has just announced that this card is going to come bundled with Duke Nukem Forever and they are waiting for the game to be finished in order to release the card.

And those pic's of the X2900 XTX looks wild.

I wouldn't get too excited about Duke Nukem. The last Duke Nukem for PC, The Manhattan Project, was a modern (2002) PC side-scroller. Lets just say that belonged at an arcade, not on my computer.

I also wouldn't get your hopes up. The game has been in development since 1997...

I'm sure you'd be fine m8.

BTW, waiting for a game to complete before releasing the card is the biggest BS excuse I've heard.

Well, the makers of Duke Nukem Forever made their games expectations & goals completely impossible. And that was why the game is taking so long to make.

The game is said to be revolutionary, and not evolutionary.

And if this game was the reason for all the delays, which I highly doubt it for a minute that would be completely a bad business move IMO.

Duke Nukem has been essentially on hold forever. If ATI follows through with this. We'll never see an X2900 XTX. And when we do, we'll be on to X5950 XTX with DirectX 14. :/

AMD nor any other manufacturer would wait for bundled software to release hardware. They would substitute other software in or bundle no software at all long before delaying the hardware. I can guarantee that 3D Realm's delays have nothing to do with X2##0 series delays.

They should rename it the "ATI X2900XTX FOREVER". Since its taking so long to be released.

I think I read somewhere there will be a dual GPU version of the X2900, a XTX, an XT, and an XL.

Dual GPU I think is named something like X2950 XTX or X2 X2900 XTX ?? But I do heard about that. The R700 will be based on Multi-GPU's.

The retail is 9.5 inches (Smaller then the 8800GTX) & the OEM is 12.5 inches.

That is my point, AMD will need to compete with the newer NVIDIA cards, the 8800GTX is now old news. If AMD don't play there cards right then they will get sacked big time.

So, the R600 will need to be a full generation ahead of the 8800GTX, just like the G80 was on to the X1900XTX & X1950XTX.

Take Care,

Looks like the only 80nm R600 will be the Dual GPU version coming in 2nd Q2007.

Radeon X2900XTX2 Second quarter 2007 R600 x 2 80nm PCIe x16 / 512 x 2 / 575MHz GPU

I don't know where they got this info from, but interesting.

damn thats a sick bundle,

well they might as well all come out. since Duke Nuken forever has been delayed now it seems for a decade. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. just arrived so i think DNF and ATi should follow the trend.

UT3, Crysis? come on times up.
