Found this comparison chart between 8800 GTX and HD 2900XT in Crysis Demo.
The amazing part is that both cards can run at the highest detail levels with full 4X AA and 16X AF 1600x1200 at about 50fps... It's hard to believe, because remember the rumors that even a 8800GTX in SLI was struggling and could barely output 10fps...
Well, the only way to find out is to benchmark the game when it comes out...
The improvements aren't too surprising (but are very welcome)...I'm sure both Crysis and the DX10 drivers have undergone major optimizations in the last few months. Decent showing from the R600, too, although I would hope that the 1GB version puts up a much better showing (or they squeeze some more performance out with updated drivers)

The R600 better show a much greater performance than the 8800gtx... especially since it is about 9 months delayed..... to come out 9 months later to have a product that is equal in performance that had been out for that length of time would be kinda sad.... especially if they are going to be charging the 500K price range..

You see, the main point of this thread was not to show off R600, but to point out that at highest settings both cards are easily doing 50+ fps...
So if the benchmark is true, we can clearly see that the rumors of gtx in SLI not being able to output >10 fps in dx10 is false.
AMD already had certified MS drivers for a long time now. The difference is NVIDIA did not have any but had the cards out, where as AMD had but did not have the cards out.

That, I can agree with. Usually new stuff is obtained by people in China first or when engineering samples are sent to everyone under an NDA. There's no concrete evidence of anything yet.

*Sigh*... good to see someone understand all this. Infact, it's a marketing ploy by NVIDIA to make people believe that 8800GTX is marginally slower than HD 2900XT.

This wouldnt be the first time benchmarks were leaked from within a GPU and/or AIB company. Then again, it certainly wouldnt be the first time someone fabricated and published benchmarks.
But regardless, it's definitely not the first time Supreet has claimed AMD's erudite professor title. I'm truly sorry I didn't immediately prostrate myself before you and disavow the truthfulness of any benchmark that put the 8800 anywhere NEAR the almighty R600. Truly.
