How reliable are those benchmark figures? All the reviews I've read have stated that the 2900XT (not the XTX) is a competitor to the 8800GTS 640Mb, and in terms of performance it's only on par with it.
So what's with it outperforming the 8800GTX beast at all resolutions? :/

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.2Ghz
Inno3D GTX260 OC
GeIL 2GB 800Mhz PC6400 4-4-4-12

Actually none of us own a video card by ATI. We're just a bunch of dicks.

I have an X850! My previous card was a 9600XT! Before that, 9200!

 I'll shut up now.

Actually, my next purchase will be an 8800 of some sort. :D

You sure about that? Crytek had their previous titles published by Ubisoft. EA really bought out all the developers they publish so most EA titles are developed and published by EA. Ubisoft has a very large repertoire of developers they publish.

The HD 2900XT seems to be a fairly good deal. I understand people here are outraged by the lack of improvement, but realize that you are comparing a $400USD HD 2900XT card to a $600USD 8800GTX. I think that barely beating in some areas the 8800GTX but being $200USD less is enough to take the crown. Unfortunately, the memory amount hurts it for texture filling.

Look on the right hand side, where it says publisher. :)
