I really, really need a program for printing DVD covers. I am so sick and tired of these little programs claiming that they can print off DVD covers, with the correct dimensions mind you, when in actual fact I'm just going through a pile of paper and wasting money. Every time I try to print a DVD cover, the photo ends up cutting off, or the picture becomes distorted. I can't express how much this aggravates me. If anyone, and I mean anyone knows of any programs out there that can properly print off DVD covers, then I will forever be in your debt. Thank you very much in advance. Take care.

You mean for the jewel case, or an actual cover on the DVD itself?

For the jewel case, Nero Cover Designer has always worked for me.

For the DVD itself, I have used the software that came with my DVD Cover Kit, called Neato made by Fellowes.

Thanks for you reply. And sorry for not being more specific. I meant the actual box/jewel case which you put the DVD inside of. I believe I've tried Nero in the past, but it hasn't worked out for me.

I've used CD Stomper's and other programs. I sometimes had to scale things manually using the printer's interface "properties" tab. The first few attempts always required adjustments to the artwork and the printers, but once made worked reliably...using both laser and inkjet printers.

There are also some "forms" templates available for MS Word for printing cd/dvd artwork/covers.

You may know this already, but if you look at the websites for the various label manufacturers (online search will find them) (avery, neato, stomper, etc) they either provide free Word forms templates or label generating programs that include creating jewel box covers. Most of the programs have a way to pre-test x:y scaling of the artwork.

It may not be the program...
Some printers are better at handling scaled artwork depending on their dpi resolution and paper handling mechanisms, and better at consistently feeding the thick label sheets so the artwork appears in the right place. Sometimes it's as easy as adjusting the forms thickness setting (often a mechanical lever) on the printer.

If the printer is a few years old, it may be unable to position print consistently on a thicker piece of paper because of roller aging.

Thanks for your reply John. I honestly hope that it's not the printer, because it's not even a year old yet, lol. It seems like I've tried everything, but as soon as it comes out of the printer, the measurements are just wrong. I had no clue about MS Word having templates for CD/DVD covers, so I will give that a try. Thanks again.

The program, which I purchased for my company too small, but I am satisfied with it.You can try CD DVD Label Maker - http://www.ronyasoft.com/products/cd-dvd-label-maker/en/.
+ A are you sure that the problem in those programs, and not something else?
