I have two 90mm fan slots at the back of my case. I would like to cut a 110mm by 110mm square at the back of case so I can install a 120mm fan. The metal at the back is about 1mm thick and isn't very durable.

I know the best tool to use would be a dremel however I do not have one. Is there any other tool capable of completing this modification?

Thanks in advance.

A circular saw (electrical obviously) would do the trick if you can rent one, or you can get a metal-cutter hand saw and use that.

Tin-snips will do the trick as well, but it's not as clean.

That's what I've done. Make sure you either take out your mobo first, or have something covering it... metal shards can get on the mobo and short it out.

Good point. That would be disastrous.

That makes me reconsider modifying my current case (which is pretty cheap and ugly). I should just buy a nice new case when I need quieter system. It is not worth risking looking my motherboard.

you can cut the case or you can get a 120 to 92 fan adapter, My CPU heatsink has a 120 to 80 mm fan adapter.

I use a Jig Saw. Works very well and you can keep your lines extremely straight.

Use a drill and get one of those large hole-saw bits, should work I suppose.

Those adaptors are very appealing. I would have never considered them as an option.

Thinking of getting...
