And your point is GT90? Because you've clearly misread Somba's post.

Er, care to show me benchmarks proving that??

Oh wait, you cant, because you made a blatantly false statement.

If you're going on about those bloomin' Crossfire / SLI results from that dodgy site again, I've addressed that in the other thread

Make sure you digest it well O.K. ;)

That was in reply to DublinGunner's "Oh wait, you cant, because you made a blatantly false statement." I pointed out that blatantly false statements are not permissible on this forum. :Þ

Huh? do you even know what your talking about? Anyone with a mindset like you who doesn't even bother to read an entire post clearly before responding, shouldn't even respond in the first place. Add that to your "false statements are not permissible on this forum"

DG you crack me up because you never know what your talking about most days.

the HD 2900 XTX isn't even out yet, so it would make sense for there not to be that many reviews clearly how is that hard 2 get through your or Ford's head.

The PC Gamer July Issue also had the Falcon System using the HD 2900XT was reviewed and it did indeed beat out the 8800 GTX Ultra in the games that were tested as is supported by the links that Super provided.

The HD2900XT is found here as well

I dont know what I'm talking about?? Right Somba, keep dreaming buddy.

You quoted a benchmark, done by some silly site, that clearly doeant even have SLI enabled, as single GTX's score higher with the same settings in the same games. They dont even list what drivers they're using, and are using 3 different PC's. If you consider that a valid comparison, you've just proved to everyone (like they dont already know) that you really have no idea about the subject.

I'm not gonna bother replying to you in future because you're so ludicruously idiotic you come across; it amazes me at times.

I can never understand how a fanboy's head works, maybe you could enlighten us all?

So here are the Cliff’s Notes on the 3 different cards so you can identify them in the wild:

ATI Radeon HD2900 XT- 9" Long, 512 Megs of GDDR3 memory. This is the card that’s getting all the bad press. Deservedly so? Possibly. Suffice to say it’s not the high end product that Falcon Northwest’s clients would be most interested in.

ATI Radeon HD2900 XT- 12" Long, 1024 Megs of GDDR4 memory. Huh? You probably would’ve noticed the world’s first GDDR4 based graphics card. Especially if it was a gigantic 12" monstrosity that would have a hard time fitting in most PCs, right? This card was only sampled to system builders, and to my knowledge none of them picked it up as a product. It’s too big, WAY too hot, has clearance issues - forget I brought it up.

ATI Radeon HD2900 XT - 9" long, 1024 megs of GDDR4. This is what we’re talking about! Two of these are what walked all over the SLI’d NVIDIA 8800 GTX cards at PC Magazine. Ask for it by name. Wait, that won’t really help. Some places have called this the "XTX". While technically incorrect, I’ll go with it. Anything to differentiate the winning version from the losing. For now, this card will only be available from Falcon Northwest and a handful of other boutiques in new systems.

So it is the HD2900XT 9 inch 1GB model that is the great performer ?

Is this the card good then?

Yes I believe it is quite good. You got 1GB of GDDR4 under the hood. Just wait until ATI comes out with newer drivers, the card should rock.

DublinGunner, I think you are dreaming again, the systems are identicle in memory, CPU, CPU OC, etc, except for the Crossfire chipset vs. the SLI chipset obviously.

And YES, the SLI licked Crossfire's balls up & down like a puppy on crack. R U blind or something LOL, :P

One of the reviews says it is quite close to the 8800Ultra in performance.

It seems to me that some people on this thread flat out want to deny the "FACT" that R600 Crossfire beat G80 SLI in Direct X10 Vista. I am sure SLI won a few too, so what is the problem LOL, Boggles my mind in this forum I tell you :/

Well, I would imagine it would be thanks to the 1GB of memory & its handling of DX10. But ATI just came out with the card, so they obviously need better drivers to really show off its performance. As for Price/Performace, it wins in my book.

Not knocking the 8800 Ultra at all, NVIDIA had drivers out for a long while now, and the card does perform quite well, though not worth its Price/Performance at the moment.

Don't rule out AMD so fast, they can't be the best all the time. ;)

Also. The 1GB HD2900XT is quite a bit cheaper then the 8800GTX in the UK. It looks a good buy for the price.

You didnt even read the specs, did you? You just looked at the numbers!

And considering the so called SLI setup was really only getting the same numbers as a single GTX, I think its quite apparent that SLI wasnt working.

Cleary you don't understand anything. How do you know they don't have SLI enabled, even when it Cleary says SLI on the benchmarks? Simple, you don't. The only defense you bring to the table is " some silly site" right cause that's creditable.

I should be asking your hypocritical hide that question. I don't understand how a fan boy such as you can be so ignorant, and I would rather not be enlightened with that kind of stupidity.
