I bought a HP slimline 3100y and upgraded the ram, bought me a 1/2 sized vid card but need more power.. Im looking for a 350-400w PSU but I cant find one that will fit the
~9in x ~3in x 1.6in~ that fits in the case... Can I just buy a regular sized PSU (400w) and have it sit on the top if the case? Thanks for any responses

Please Check for the correct full detai please, is it one of the Pavillion's ???

3100y is not in the list, and refers to a Toner Cartridge

Im sorry its a HP Slimline S3100y .. its a case that is 2/3 the size thus full ize expansions do not fit in the back.. the power supply is one of the skinny long ones (9x3x1.6) i have found a 300w one that will fit but my vid card requires a 350w minimum so I dont wanna take the chance with -50w
