All righty.

Ive got a old PC running Red had Ver 9 release 3

Im in need of the Shell command that will give me info about my System that for some reason I can not seem to find in the GUI options.

CPU & RAM details things of that nature.

I can find the hardware browser which only shows me Devices such as CD-rom, HDs and USB
I was hoping there was a shell command that I cant seem to stumble apon that would show me info like CPU Type/speed, Ram Type/speed, Mobo Bus speed etc...
Things that I could easily find in Windows -_-

Im a novice Linux user trying to crash course myself in it. :~

If anyone out there has some links to some great starter sites that would be great.
Otherwise just a command line for the information Im looking for would be good as well.

Thanks in advanced.

cat /proc/cpuinfo
cat /proc/meminfo

there are numerous other "files" in /proc/ that have various system information.

/sbin/lspci

lists all PCI devices
