Why do you need it? Im not sure about this, but if the company does release a firmware update, wouldnt the phone automatically download it?

i bought this sony w810i ryt,but my service provider(vodacom) took the original software off and put there crapper OS on to boost sales productivity for their company.Also, in that vodafone software,the company disables certain settings that the original software has.I need it to unlock those settings and get the best outta the phone.
but i think i found the software,jst need to download a certain driver for the cable now.thanx for the quick response.
