Just ordered a new G15 tonight .Im pretty sure its the old version since the price was $69.00.All the new versions ive seen go for $89 or more

Another question should i get a G9 or G5 mouse or just go with the MX518?

I've got the G5, and I absolutely love it, but I've been thinking about the G9. I've heard nothing but good news about it.

As for the G15, I personally think the older one is better. It's got 18 macro keys, rather than six. Oh, and its lights are blue, so it matches my setup.

It idles at 32-33 degrees C, even with that overclock, stable and all. I ran Orthos on all 4 cores overnight, about 8 hours, and it was fine, never went past 55C.

I'm actually about to run 3DMark 06, so I'll post back and let you know what I get.

10373 on 3DMark06 in Vista. I'll try it in XP tomorrow sometime.

If you got the desk space, then the old G15 is better since it has a bigger screen that is movable and it also has more programmable "G" keys. I put a wooden board on top of my keyboard draw so I can fit both a mouse and a keyboard on it fairly nicely. I am getting the old G15 soon and a G5 mouse too. I can't wait to get them.

Logitech MX510 which i love.Its 2 years old and now the buttons are starting to stick.I might just get the MX518

I was originally gonna get an MX518 but I decided to get the G5 (which I should be getting on the 10th), only because I wasn't sure about going from a laser mouse to an optical mouse. As I said before I currently have a MX1000 which was the world's first laser mouse back in 2004.

I doubt there is much of a difference between a G5 and a MX518 in terms of performance.
