Let this post serve as notice that I hereby resign as chief moderator for Hardware Analysis.

Due to my personal disagreements with the way the site is being managed, I no longer wish to be involved with its day-to-day operation.

I may continue to post as a member, but my duties as chief moderator are henceforth over. Whether or not my assistant moderators chose to stay is their decision and the responsibility of managing that now rests with Sander.

It’s been fun guys, but I can’t do it anymore. I've made a lot of good friends here and I hope that this decision does not change the community's opinion of me.

I too hereby relinquish my moderator status and abilities that follow. I will not be a part of this site in the way that its heading. After almost two years, I still do not have full moderator rights and still have to hold someones hand as though I am a child.

I made a lot of good friends here and I too hope to keep in touch with them. Its been fun here guys. Whether you liked me or you hated me, its still be fun.

Nice to know ya.

Peace.

There is and will always be someone who looks over the site at all times.

I'm not sure what you are asking then - can you rape and pillage (I mean spam and flame)? No. Just because a few deputies left doesn't mean you can start looting - there is still a sheriff and a mayor in town.

Its a very simple question, are there any mods left?????? It was meant to be rhetorical, as obviously there are no mods left.

Sure, there's yourself (site admin) and Sander (editor in chief)- but no mods.

I wasn't stating that people can go and do what they like.

I haven't heard anything from Adam, so he is a moderator unless he choses not to be one.

I also still receive SMS messages on my phone whenever someone uses "Report Abuse" button, so I think you are giving too much attention to people's [lack of] official titles.

We are currently evaluating replacement positions, including a "Chief Moderator" position which would be paid, as it was for the past several years.

I most certainly wasnt attempting to undermine anyone elses roles, but for all intents & purposes, to anyone visiting the site, it would appear the mods have fled the coop.

And once again, I think you are giving official titles too much attention, as these events have very little, if any, effect on most people visiting this site. In fact, most people visiting this site don't know and don't care, they are here to resolve whatever technical questions or issues they have.

I respect both of your decisions. I would like to thank CrAsHnBuRnXp and Michael Adames for what they have contributed to this site.

I hope you still post.

I would just like to make it clear to the members here that I have decided to remain a moderator here at Hardware Analysis. I also remain friends with Michael, Mark, and Bobby, and I can understand why they have decided to all step down. I have no reason to step down as moderator here, and I hope that I can help convince Sander and Vitaliy to make improvements to the site. There are a few things we have talked about doing, and I hope that it will help restore HWA to it's former glory. I am also pushing to get a new assistant moderator to help out.
