Interesting article, but keep in mind his external IR measurement method is not measuring how it's done in the lab. There is measurement variability introduced in the method and the handheld meter as well. The author has made some very non-trivial assumptions.

Might also want to consider renaming this thread as "Intel Temp Monitor". Unless I'm reading it wrong, it looks like RealTemp only handles Intel procs?

Yeah im pretty sure its for intel only

Tried running it on my Toledo, gave me a "not supported" message and then terminated. Oh well. :P At least CoreTemp finally came out with a version with a signed driver for Vista x64. :D
