The link session has expired so I can't see that one. The Levono from Newegg is awesome as long as you don't install Windows Vista with 1gb of Ram then you'll be happy with it.

yeah, vista is not really a priority either even thou i think this lappy would be able to handle
it well with more ram. i like this lappy because it's penryn based and under 1k.

thats what i was looking at

BoT,
The Thinkpad R61 is a good solid work laptop. Nothing over the top performance and graphics wise, but stable. Due to the implementation of "shared video memory" I'd definately suggest springing some extra for 2GB of DDR2 DRAM, even under XP.

yes, that's what i am looking for, a good solid work laptop.
i won't do to much graphics heavy. hardly any gaming. some video and photo editing.
the t9300 is a decent performance package combined with intel harddrive cache and
a 7200rpm hdd.
i go with the 1gig because i won't to replace it with aftermarket ram. 2 or 4 gig corsair or possibly mushkin. i don't think they put good ram in there.
i only get it with vista home premium because i am thinking of replacing the mce05 on my
media center with it. the lappy will run xp
