I know you've seen this. It's an old machine, it had 98 I tried put 2000 on it. I think it had something to do with that. I tried another cd rom, samething. Anyone?

You must first be sure the hardware can "see" the CD rom. If the cd rom is not listed in the BIOS, Windows will not see it either.

Also, older Win2000 install CD, do need you to use boot floppies (4 of them) first, before loading. But check with BIOS first.
