1-IDE 250 I'm using for my master hdd
that into which I want xp installed to that
seems to be reporting itself as pata on boot
a Q6600 w/ 1066 fsb a pair of extreme
series PATRIOT viper fin ddr3 2x2 gb 1333 MHz
ram pc310666 anyway when I try to install
win xp home I get a bsod and the dreaded

vista with no problems but not xp
I even tried slipstreaming all driver packs to

I did contact intel about this issue and I was told I need different ram or a processor with an fsb of (1333) they told me it was because the fsb of my processor (1066) does not match the bus of the ram (1333) ? I was almost positive they were right until I was able to install vista with no problems so now I'm confused as to what the problem is !
