hi, i was wondering how u can tell that two videocards are running in crossfire mode... ccc says it's enabled GPUz says its enabled but still i'm not really sure cause when i play a game (Crysis) or something the core temp. has a big difference 1 is 42 and the other is 36. don't they have to be at the same temp.???

You have 2 cards.... You have a Master, and a slave! The master obviously takes the brunt of all the Processing, so the second is an additional GPU. thats the easiest way to explain it. Temps dont really mean much. also remember where the Fan placings are on the fans, the second card may be cooler because of the air flow around the card from the fan on the master above it..

i would worry too much as long as they're linked, and enabled its alright, Crysis isnt a very GPU friendly game lol an Oc'd 3870 reached 71 lol fan duty @ 80%

well i'm running crossfire and both my cards have the exact same temps. one good way to tell. is to just run a benchmark when crossfire disabled and run it again with it enabled to see if there is a performance boost.

also make sure catalyst ai is on (i set mine to advanced). off means crossfire is disabled.

also what motherboard are you using. i was using a mobo at first which had one 16x lane and one 4x lane and that seriously held me back, until i got a dual 16x pci express lane mobo.

2x Sapphire 512mb 2900 pro 850/1900
Intel core 2 duo E6400@3.5ghz watercooled
2048mb OCZ nvidia SLI PC8500
X38 DS4 dual 16x lane pci express mobo
zalman 850 watt heatpipe psu
