hey guys im trying to play this game on LAN and when i try and make a game it doesnt show up, I've forward the port as well as have it patched to the latest as well as trying to have my brother create a game and it wont even let him get to the create a game thing, so it could possibly be a porblem on his end.

Any ideas?

Sean,
I'm not familiar with Flashpoint, but are you sure you mean LAN and not Internet or WAN?
If you are talking about LAN, then most likely the local host Firewall configurations are whats screwing you or he up. If you are talking Internet/WAN, then it could be the brouter on his end, or yours, even if you set up the port forwarding. You may also have to set up triggers, or a permitted port (access) inbound list as well.

Check your host FW configurations then, or at least temporarily disable the FW feature to see if you can connect. If you can then it's definately the FW, if not....
I've had some major problems in the past establishing sessions between my Vista and XP machines, especially if they are on different network segments (one on 192.168.1.0/24 and the other on 192.168.2.0/24 for instance) I've had to go in and add trusted networks or extend the local trusted network to 192.168.0.0/16.
Good luck.

i dont use a firewall though, the only one i use is my router and Nod32 :S

It COULD be Nod32 because something similar happened with Rise of Nations.

Thanks for the help Gerritt, i wont be able to check for a while though, maybe tomorrow.

I use/used ESets Nod32 on a semi-retired XP64 box, and I seem to recall that it may block application access to system processes (such as networking) in a rather stringent basis, thus providing a outbound type FW feature. NOD32 does however incorporate an excellent logging and modification utility, so if you check the logs you may find that the culprit could be an adjusted .exe signature based upon the LAN vs. internal game.
You'd just have to add this to a trusted list and you should be good to go.
