Why you say.Well im not at all impressed with this E8400.Yeah it OC's like crazy but i just dont like it and i found someone thats willing to trade straight up.Im not spending a single dime other than shipping.Anyone of you thinking of going for the E8400 or E8500 from your Quads dont do it.I dont care what they say the Q6600 at 3.6ghz is faster than a E8400 at 4.0ghz in all but a few benchmarks

Talk about an operating system that makes Vista (and XP) looked very bloated.

Oh im not planning on it but if it cant handle my Quad and my SLIed 8800GTS's then its time for atleast an 800watt psu.

Thats the reason i got the E8400 i was told my psu wouldnt handle the Quad and my 8800GTS's plus 4 gigs of ram + OCing a Quad

>> Re: mothows getting another Q6600
I wouldn't expect mircles out of a Corsair power supply but I'd say you are fine with a quad-core and 8800 GTS SLI. Adding a third vid card would be a very big no-no. I think it could handle it but there won't be much wiggle room (may mean it will die quicker).

GPUs and CPUs by far consume the most power. Memory really doesn't need much and hard drives only need a significant amount on spin-up.
