I would definitely have to say Ironman hands down. He is much more versatile that Master Chief. For example, he can fly and his weapons are built into the palms of his hands.

sure, Stark is a genious at creating thing but no where NEAR the combat stategist that Master Chief is. chief along with contana would BLAZE ironman if no weapons were included. the chief is stronger, smarter, and he has a shield generator. now i'll give him credit for being about to fly but the chief can flip 70ton tanks and wraiths like there nothing. he would smack starks block off. literally

Spartan 117 was doing very advanced math and science classes at the age of 12-14, side by side with teamwork and warfare training since the age of 6. Don't think of Master Chief from the perspective of the Halo series video games. Think of him from a lore standpoint. The videogames are a very poor example of what the Chief really is, and what he can do.

Remember, Ironman was dreamt up back in the 60's. Halo was dreamt up around the turn of the century. Both are also a fairy-tale so both are only as creative as the authors that came up with it. Taking that into consideration, Ironman's impact on popular culture vastly outweighs that of the Master Chief so, Ironman has won and the revitalization of the character via the film is simply Ironman reborn. If Master Chief is not forgotten in 40 years then maybe this topic may hold some merit for historical significance.

Mario has been around since 1981 and is, perhaps, the most prolific and enduring video game character to date. Master Chief has yet to even brush on that considering how Halo only really caught on in North American and, to a lesser extent, Europe. Ironman has over a decade advantage even on the infallible Mario.


Consider this: without comics such as Ironman, would Master Chief ever have been conceptualized?

As for more human contestants, who do you think will win in a fight: James Bond (Codename 007) vs. Jason Bourne (real name David Webb)?

Obviously though, Bond knows more about women and drinking, and have better finance and support from his intelligence organization, which supplies him with endless amount of vehicles, gadgets and expensive clothings. Bourne is just a lone fighter, who was brain washed and betrayed by the organization he worked for. However, he's extremely intelligent and capable of adapting / using whatever he can from the current environment, not to mention he's very well trained in hand to hand combat.

The question is can Bond shoot Bourne in the head with his Walther PPK, before Bourne disarmed him and break Bond's neck?

How about Sean Costello vs Elvis Costello?
