Hello

My computer today just started adjusting its own volume. Every time I alter the volume in the audio manager, it just drops to zero gradually. As it does this, the words "decreasing volume" appear on the screen, as if I was adjusting it on the monitor. Thing is, I'm not doing a thing to make this happen. I heard there may be a soundman.exe file that may be the cause of this, but I followed the steps outlined in a previous thread and could not find it. Any other idea?

Is it possible that your keyboard "volume control" button is stuck down or your keyboard (with volume control I assuming) is malfunctioning?

I can not see any reason why soundman.exe would automatically lower the volume.

Try unplugging your keyboard once you login to windows.
