I absolutely love this song, I just noticed it sounds so better with 70% volume up while neighbors are not around! :)

Yea with Creative Inspire 4400 :P

Lyrics as follows:

Lay beside me, tell me what they've done
Speak the words I wanna hear, to make my demons run
The door is locked now, but it's open if you're true
If you can understand the me, than I can understand the you

Lay beside me, under wicked sky
The black of day, dark of night, we share this paralyze
The door cracks open, but there's no sun shining through
Black heart scarring darker still, but there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining...

What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you....

What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?

Lay beside me, this won't hurt I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still, but she'll never love again
She lay beside me, But she'll be there when I'm gone
Black heart scarring darker still, yes she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Dead sure she'll be there...

What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you....

What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?

Lay beside me, tell me what I've done
The door is closed, so are you're eyes
But now I see the sun, now I see the sun
Yes now I see it

What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you....

What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits,
The one who waits for you....

Oh what I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you.... (So I dub thee unforgiven....)

Oh, what I've felt....
Oh, what I've known....

I take this key (never free...)
And I bury it (never me...) in you
Because you're unforgiven too....

Never free....
Never me....
'Cause you're unforgiven too....
Oh

The Lyrics are pretty emotional, but I just can't accept Metallica this way. Now my favorite album will have to be And Justice For All and the song One of course.

I have to say, The Unforgiven I (Off the Black Album) is so much better than this. However, my favorite Metallica album is Master of Puppets. I used to warm up to it a year or so ago, playing all the way through from Battery to Damage Inc. Good stuff.

II definitely has that softer Metallica sound that you hear in Load/Reload. Bobby's just hardcore. :P It's a good song, but I'd say I like the first one better too.

Been a while since I've heard that. I saw them live a few years ago. Good show.

Unforgiven I is SO much better than Unforgiven II. I dunno. I'm a fan of older Metallica. (Black Album and before. They started to lose their edge after a while.)

*holds up bottle* Here's to the new album not sucking like St. Anger did!

I think im the only person in the world who actually liked St Anger :/

For Whom The Bell Tolls is my favourite I think although they have so many good songs its hard to choose.

Seeing them at Reading Festival this summer :)

I thought St. Anger was purely horrible. The snare drum sounded, quite literally, like a trash can, the guitars were tuned too low, and as such, James's voice sounded horrible. That, and Bob Rock didn't step in to tell them that what they were doing was garbage.

Rick Ruben is doing them some good on the new album, though.

Edit: I will say that "Some Kind Of Monster" was a decent song. It had/has a lot of potential, it's a pretty bitchin' riff at the open, but it just feels like they took it in all the wrong directions.

f**k yeah Megadeth rules! But I prefer when Marty Friedman, David Ellefson and Jimmy De Grasso were with Dave, the live performances where so much better, the new crew sucks live.

Although Megadeth still rocks hard and proud with it's new albums this is a Metallica thread, so let's leave it at that. :P

I am not in touch with latest music, I used to listen these songs a decade back, while I was young, boy I miss those days... just don't grow older, its a punishment.

I thought Devil's Dance was awful. Just... not up to Metallica's best.

I Disappear was amazing. Such an underrated song.

Best version of For Whom The Bell Tolls... ever.

Also, I'm a huge fan of their version of Turn The Page

Another good song is Of Wold And Man
