It's being made by the people who made Call of Duty 3 which gives me absolutely no reason to be excited about this game. I'm not expecting much from it, since it's being made by Treyarch instead of Infinity Ward. COD, COD2, and COD4 were all developed by Infinity Ward. They were all excellent games including COD4 which is one of my all time favorite multiplayer games and also one of my all time favorite single player games. Another thing to note is that Call of Duty 3 was not ever released on the PC. It was only on the Xbox 360/PS3 and I think some of the older consoles. So who knows if Treyarch will even make this new COD game for the PC. Maybe they'll surprise us and actually make World at War a good game, but I'm not expecting much, and I can not wait till COD6 which will be developed by Infinity Ward.

Game is coming out this fall and its coming out on all major platforms including PC.

treyarch ignored pc for the consoles with COD3. i think COD3 gets overly bashed because 2 and 4 were extremely good. 3 is hardly poor, i very much enjoyed its single player and online modes, mainly because i found the multiplayer held me captivated longer than halo 3 ever could for the consoles.

anyway, the co op modes on 5 look to at least bring something new to the series, it will be worth playing that im sure of

Yeah its about the Pacific aspect, finally but for f**ks sake stop making WW2 games.

Well if the graphics keep getting better then I don't mind playing another WWII game just as long as it's not the same misisons. Better yet why don't make a WWII game from the Russian aspects? That will give a whole lot more flexibility, might as well do it with the germans and brits.

I am disinclined to buy this just BECAUSE of the fact that they ignored the PC. Maybe if it's good, I'll buy it -- but there are other companies out there who have faithfully been making PC games for a good long time, and I think they've earned my business moreso...

i suppose i understand, but consoles have stolen a lot of pc developers. the one recent game i have enjoyed greatly on pc is mass effect from bioware, because all the nasty niggles of the 360 version are eliminated and the game is on the platform it always should have been.

What a waste which could bring a tamper to the name "Call of Duty" if infiny ward isn't touching the game it will be garbage, Hell we just freaking goe COD4 give us at least a year or 2 damn!

Oh good history recap Adam, I was wondering why i wasn't aware of the COD3 release for PC, or even why the hrs played on xfire never show up....it was because it was never made for PC lol go figure

What didn't you like about it? I worked at GameStop all through its launch and for many months after. Never heard a single complaint about the game. Can't say the same for Halo 3...
