Hi Guys

At the moment my PS3 and X360 are in my living room downstairs.
My PC is in my office upstiars.
My PC is connected to the web via a BT Voyager USB modem.
I want to get my PS3 online
When I took my X360 online I had to run a really long ethernet cable up my stairs and into the back of my PC.
Can someone advise me what I need to get the PS3 online without resorting to this 'long cable' method? Some advice on the cheapest yet most effective product would also be a great help.

Many thanks as always

J

*You could go wireless. Who is your ISP? If it's BT, then call them and ask
for your BT HomeHub, because it's long over due to you. You say you have
BT Voyager Modem. This tells me it's been a while since you updated your
contract. You'll get the Hub from them and you can go wireless but it costs
£30 and no dongle!
So get the BT Vision aswell, pay 30 quid, and get the Bt Vision Digi box + dongle +
HUB, and you're well sorted 30 fookin quid!!
BT Vision is free to view so don't worry about monthly payments

or

You could buy a new Wireless router, which cheapest I've seen so far is about
39.99. But then you'll still need to get a dongle (that's what another 15 quid??)

or

You could buy the Network Powerline (plugs into you electrical socket) and use
that for your internet connection. Very expensive, but i'd say the neatest and best
way. The cheapest I've seen is Netgear and they are about £60+

You're gonna have to fork out at least £30 regardless, or just stick to the loooooong
ethernet cable....

J,
If your X360 and PS3 are in the same area, then I'd suggest a very cheap ethernet hub or switch...maybe a 4 port switch which runs about $50 or even less.
You take the wire that is now in your Xbox and plug it into the switch by your gaming consoles, then you plug your consoles into the switch (2 more cables, but short ones).
You should be good to go, and don't have to put up with all the WiFi crap.
