Here's some links to the those two cards...

eVGA GTX 280 - $499
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130365
eVGA GTX 260 - $329

Still at $29 more then the HD4870, the GTX 260 is not really that great of a deal. It's a much better deal now, but I still would go with the HD4870 over it, since it's cheaper and is faster.

Thanks Adam.I just got busy over at Evga PMing them about my step up.And i didnt get a chance to put up those links .

Im at the point to to pay them but they want $147 for my step up but with the price cut it should bring me down to $77 but they arent going for it so im cancling my step up

Edit Evga will be honoring the price cut for me so i will be getting the 260GTX.If i was paying full price id just get the 4870 but since i already havemy 8800GTS and i only have to pay $77 i figure why not.fter i get my 260GTX ill sell my second GTS and put that money towards a second 260GTX

From Evga's Main man
If you have already signed up for the step-up and your product has NOT been shipped from the EVGA office as of 7/8/2008, then EVGA will correct your pricing to the updated current MSRP as of 7-8-2008 5pm PST.

Please allow 2 – 3 business days for EVGA to modify those that have already paid and are in queue or will be paying.

If you have already paid and we do a refund, please allow approx 10 business days for you to see this on your statement.

Due to the terms and conditions of the Step-up program, once a transaction is complete there are not refunds, exchanges or exceptions.

Thank you,
Joe Darwin

I believe a single GTX 260 is slower then dual 8800GTS (G92)'s right?

Yeah i know.Imagine being my GF she hates me sometime's.She says i love my PC more than her..lol

But our Bills are paid so she cant complain to much
Seriously though.I was having big problems with the 750i FTW it had the video corruption bug really bad.And i wasnt 100% on stepping up to the 260GTX but since its only gonna cost me $77 i figure why not. Then like i said ill sell the other 8800GTS and put the money towards a second 260GTX (maybe) or maybe ill buy Louanne a ring for putting up with my addiction(.I always thought the evga 8800gTS 512mb's were ugly so here is my chance to get a better looking card)
