I'm definitely not going to pass on this one. This is the first time Will Wright was able to experiment since Maxis went belly up. I have seriously been deprived of his creativity.

ya i know it kinda of reminds me of Monsters inc. They could do more than just sell a game if they wanted possibly make a moive adapation and a successful franchise! A console port would be a no brainier

People will lose jobs / family / pets because of this game.

I am not going to lie.

IT depresses me to know that

1) My PC for some odd reason, even after meeting all specifications couldn't run the creature creator, and thus this game is offlimits
2) I am almost certain this behemoth won't be available on my Playstation 3.

Brandon it was probably a driver issue. I think your Pc should be able to handle this game very well.

As for the trailers I loved them, for some reason it reminded me a lot of The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy kind of humor, I think it was the narrators voice. I'm watching the second one right now.

I know it should because I checked System requirements and for the most part I exceed them pretty heftily.

I will probably end up buying it and then changing graphics cards... hoping/praying that's the issue... it looks so fun!

P.S Yeah... I like the narrator to this and it sounds exactly like Hitchhikers.

I know a few people that have ran the Spore Creature Creator on the "cheap" MacBooks (non-Pro model) which have crappy onboard Intel X3100 video chips. So there is no reason why your X700 can not run this game. Try different drivers, and updating DirectX.

Anyone want to help me troubleshoot

I launch the game, see the first screen and it shuts off with no error message etc.

I meet all requirements, updated my graphics driver and my DirectX.

Edit : I have an nForce 4 Ultra motherboard, last time I tried to upadte my drivers (sound/network etc) it crashed my PC hard... it said to uninstall any pre-existing nForce drivers before installing the latest, would my PC still boot?

mad looking creatures. My wee girl's addicted to it!

Drivers updated to latest version which WORKS on my X700, 8.5
Sound updated to latest version possible

Game crashes.
