I have not played a game since Crysis, and wondering what game should I purchase, I've extended week off for three days, hence looking forward to enjoy it (won't post on HWA if I'm drunk). Can you guys suggest me any good game? I've been out of touch with games while back, but I really want to play a good game, probably first person shooter.

Deus Ex
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Mass Effect
James Bond 007: Nightfire (PC version; only the MP is really worth it)

hmm...

Delta Force series (Land Warrior, Task Force Dagger, Xtreme, Black Hawk Down, Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre)

yeah...

I can't say there are very many excellent FPS games out there. Most are too mindless IMO.

Can I assume that you have played Call of Duty 4 already? If not, definitely check it out. Other great recent first person shooters to consider if you have not already played them include BioShock and the games that come in the Orange Box. If your considering older first person shooters you might enjoy the last good game in the Medal of Honor series, MOH: Allied Assault. It was a PC only release and not a crappy console port like the later games in the series. And I know for a fact that it runs on a Geforce 4 MX 420 64MB. ;)

Thank you guys, I couldn't access the Internet at my place as it was not working, well only one day left, and I was busy with other work, so probably next month when I take another off, I would probably consider games mentioned above.

Thanks.

Hot Dog Bush game!

Ever wonder what President George "Dubya" Bush will be doing once he leaves the White House? Well, we wondered too and voted for him to run a hot dog stand, in the city that never sleeps - New York! In this totally addictive, deliciously fast-paced time management game brought to you by 2DPlay - Help the President cook and serve up sizzling hot dogs, burgers and fries to all kinds of customers. Start in the Bronx and move up to Wall St. while meeting daily cash goals. Chomp down on hours of fun game play in 5 different locations... AND we've super sized the game with a surprise location just for laughs! Uncle George wants YOU!!! So, dont forget to submit your high-scores and compete with other fast food fanatics around the world!

I figured you probably didn't really want a link to the game.

Edit: I think I'm a little late for your vacation time? Oh well...maybe next year!

Would you want to broaden your playing choices? I'm thinking about playing Evil Genius again (think Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2). If I do play it, it will be about the fourth time I beat it. Great fun. :D

Hmm, I've heard good things about that game...it's like $10 on Amazon, may be a good time to check it out finally :)

A word of advice: run the game overnight to get a crapload of cash before capturing the tourists at the beginning. It makes the game much easier. Obviously, if you want it hard, don't do that. xD

Oh, and I really wish there was a sequel or at least some expansion packs. :(

That sounds interesting but probably not a game I could enjoy. tbh I play a massive amount of shooters and the like. As far as RPG related games, The Elder Scrolls, ME, Kotor is as far as I'll go. Actually the Kotor series was probably my favorite games of all time.

Evil Genius is an action/strategy/simulation game. Basically you build a giant secret base inside of a mountain with traps, freezers, barracks, etc. and you order your minions to do tasks around the world. Meanwhile, the "Agents of Justice" are trying to break in/destroy your beautiful complex. If you ever played the Dungeon Keeper games, that's about as close to the style of game play as you can get. It is very original and quite comical.

Wow, I thought I was the only person who actually enjoyed Evil Genius. Great game!

I'm gonna have to reference your earlier post, and disagree that Deus Ex: Invisible War was a good game. It felt supremely sloppy to me. I'm told the original Deus Ex is amazing, though.

Agreed. Invisible War was nowhere near the original Deus Ex.

Deus Ex: Invisible War has a case of consolitis. Other than that, it is still good.

As far as new games, getting back on the topic of this thread, I've not seen too many games worth checking out within the past couple of months. One that does come to mind, though, is Sins of a Solar Empire, a little gem from Stardock (Galactic Civilizations, Political Machine). It's a real time strategy with elements of 4X games like Civilization. You basically set out to conquer a galaxy, or multiple galaxies, depending on how the map is set up. Beware, though, games can last anywhere from half an hour to a couple of months, and anywhere in between. The scale of the game is... borderline absurd. And I love it.

However, I've been digging through my CD binders, and looking for old-ish games to put back on my computer. I've lined up Rome: Total War, Age of Empires III, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (after I jerry-rig it to bypass the stupid StarForce drivers, since they don't work on Vista x64 anyway). It's gonna be fun. :)
